Emergency removal of viruses with command line scanners

In an emergency, you might need to remove a virus or Trojan after a clean boot, or in safe mode (inglese), with a command line scanning version of Sophos Anti-Virus.

The emergency command line versions are:

• Sophos (inglese)Anti-Virus for DOS - SWEEP.EXE (used on Windows 95/98/Me)
• SAV32CLI.EXE (inglese) (used on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003)
• Sophos Anti-Virus for UNIX - sweep (used on Mac OS X (inglese), Linux, and other systems).

When using a command line version of Sophos Anti-Virus, you will need to add threat identity (inglese) (IDE) files manually (inglese).
